Phew! Well, this is it.
This is the motherload. I think this is the
best line to take, for HardOffs and recycle stores. Besides from the 6 HardOffs/OffHouses on this line, there are 2 Treasure Factories (Machida and Sagamihara) and quite a few other recycle stores (as well as a sportsOff/HouseOff near Machida, on highway16). The Yokohama line HardOffs are also among the most reasonable for prices. They are ebst for electronics and electrical goods and also for junk.
Hachioji is quite big and Kobuchi is very close tot eh station and quite interesting.
Here are my reports for the Yokohama Line HardOffs:
- Nagatsuda HardOff/OffHouse
- Machida HardOff
- Kobuchi HardOff/OffHouse
- Fuchinobe HardOff
- Haashimoto HardOff
- Hachioji HardOFf/OffHouse

This baby is the closest and also lies on the Denentoshi Line.
It's quite large and is about a 10 minute walk from the station.
They have a lot of model and collectible stuff, women's clothes, sillly porcelain, some camping equipment, sports equipment (golf clubs, and sportswear, etc) and some household goods. They have the ocasional bargain and always have a few bicycles on display, outside the entrance. Prices are not too bad. Their junk section is not too bad, either. I often check this place out, when I'm in the area.

This is quite close to Machida Station. Walk back towards TokyuHands and turn left. It's on the corner. It has about 4 or 5 floors. The floor size isn't that big. It has a HardOff, containing some electronic hardware and a small junk area. The uppper floors are for clothes, sportswear and some sports equipment. There's not much stuff here but you can occasionally find a good deal. Machida is also home to a good Treasure Factory. This is about 10 or 15minutes walk from the station, towards Kobuchi). I'll be making an entry on this Treasure Factory soon.

This is a handy HardOff. Barely a few minutes walk from the station.

Here's a pic of the HardOff. You can see the BookOff on the other side of the road.

Although now, I think there is construction going on, on the outside of the HardOff:

Here's the view from the station (I told you it was close):

A nice little hardoff. Lots of cups and glasses and quite a lot of household stuff on the third floor. Some toys and models, too. Decent junk section. An example of what you may find:

Fuchinobe HardOff:
This little hardoff is a long way from Fuchinobe Station. We're talking over 5km. It is probably not worth it, if you don't have a super sweet awesome folding bike to get you there and back. It's pretty small and at the moment, they're remodelling the interior and lots of stuff is being moved around. They have some electronic hardware and musical instruments onthe ground floor and a small but interesting junk section on the second floor. Nothing fantastic.

Try to get on the highway 57. Then, just keep on going.

You'll see this place, down a slope on the left side, just after turning left past the ModeOff:

This one is about 10 to 15mins walk from Hashimoto Station.
It's not bad. They usually have something interesting there. It's a bit of a walk but there are lots of shops on the way. There's a sports authority, a good 100yen store, a baskin robbins and lots of big stores.

You may decide to have a break and grab some ice cream at Baskin Robbins:

This one is part of a group of stores. There's the HardOff/OffHouse and next to it is a HobbyOff and a BookOff. There's another store just across the street. It's quite a walk to get here. You'll cross a river and turn left jsut before a big road. A good 15minutes walking. But the store is pretty big. Great junk section.
